Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 26, 2026
You can play without an account. Account sync, public leaderboards, regional rankings, and advertising each use additional data only for their stated functions. Direct purchases are not enabled.
1. Operator and scope
This policy applies to the Star Swarm web game, its account and leaderboard APIs, and an official mobile wrapper. The operator's verified public fields are available on the Business Information page. Privacy contact: Business support email is not configured yet.
2. Information processed and purposes

3. Legal basis and optional features
Core processing is limited to providing the requested game, account, ranking, and security functions. Google login, location-based rankings, and advertising choices are optional. Where consent is the applicable basis, you may refuse or later change that choice, although the related optional feature may stop working.
4. Retention and deletion
- Browser-only settings remain until you clear site/app data or the game removes them during a reset.
- Account, Career, and leaderboard records are retained while the service or account remains active, then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, subject to security, dispute, and legally required retention.
- Approximate regional ranking data remains attached to the relevant ranking record; exact coordinates are discarded after the coarse region is derived.
- Infrastructure and advertising providers keep logs and consent records according to their published retention settings and applicable law.
When retention ends, electronic records are deleted using methods intended to make recovery impracticable. Backups expire through their normal rotation schedule.
5. Service providers and international transfers
Star Swarm uses Cloudflare for hosting, APIs, security, and D1 storage; Supabase for authentication; and Google for login and, when explicitly enabled, AdSense/Ad Manager or AdMob advertising. These providers may process data in the Republic of Korea, the United States, and other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Transfers occur over encrypted network connections when you use the relevant feature and are retained under the provider's service terms or until the Star Swarm record is deleted.
Provider policies: Cloudflare, Supabase, and Google.
6. Advertising, cookies, and consent
Web advertising remains disabled unless the operator explicitly enables it and confirms a certified consent-management platform is published. When enabled, Google and participating vendors may use cookies to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other sites. Users can manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.
The Android app requests current privacy status through Google's User Messaging Platform before initializing or requesting AdMob ads. Rewarded benefits are granted only after the native ad SDK reports successful completion.
Opens provider controls when they are configured and applicable.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, or withdrawal of consent for personal information associated with your account. Send a request to Business support email is not configured yet. The operator may ask for reasonable identity verification before changing account records. You may also clear local browser data, revoke location permission, stop using Google login, or use the provider privacy controls above.
8. Security
Reasonable safeguards include encrypted transport, authenticated account APIs, server-side validation, account-scoped identifiers, limited public configuration, rate and abuse controls, and separation of production identifiers from source control. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Star Swarm does not knowingly seek personal information from children under 14. Gameplay does not require an account. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied account or location data may request its deletion through the privacy contact.
10. Changes
Material changes will be announced by updating this page and its effective date before or when the revised processing begins. Earlier versions should be retained in repository history.
